This dreamy session took place at a local venue, in Abbeville, SC, called Heyward Manor. The venue was absolutely beautiful and suited Kade and Sarah so well. It's going to be PERFECT for their upcoming wedding in November.
For Kade and Sarah's session, they wanted very laid back, story-like photos. These photos give off "The Notebook" vibes, and I could not be happier. If you haven't seen The Notebook, I'm very disappointed and you need to go watch it right now... or at least, as soon as you're done looking through my website ; ) . I LOVED it when they asked me if they could take off their shoes for part of the photos, because WOW, it added so much to "story", in my opinion. I feel like this gave such a "back yard" feel to the photos and showed such a child-like love.
To add even more to the session, the venue has a small boat that we HAD to take advantage of! Thankfully, no one fell out and no camera gear was water-logged in the process.
I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this session and how light-hearted it was. At one point in the session, we made our way to a clearing SURROUNDED by hydrangeas (green now, but will turn white towards the end of summer/fall). I told Kade and Sarah that I wanted them to take control for a little bit. I told them they could dance, run, roll around on the ground, whatever they wanted to do. I would be off to the side somewhere just capturing the moments they decide to put into motion. This is always my absolute favorite part of the session, because it is completely authentic. No direction from me, and they have to work together to come up with poses and prompts.
There were so many laughs and sweet, delicate moments between the two of them, and it melted my heart in the best of ways. They practiced some of their dances for the wedding, chased each other, and held each other. Such sweet moments that they can look back on.
It was so amazing to see so much love and wholesome interaction between them. I cannot wait for November, to celebrate them and this special time in their lives.
